Short description of the event
At the Reserchers' Nights this year archaeologists of Tartu University will be tackling the topic of mummies and mummification in University of Tartu Art Museum. They will explain who, how and why were embalmed in Egypt and what the scientists of today can reveal about Ancient Egypt by studying mummies. There will also be a discussion about the importance of mummies in more recent times, in the 18th and 19th centuries.
