2nd Restricted Call for Proposals has been launched
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia has launched the 2nd Restricted Call for Proposals of the Estonia – Latvia – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 within European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument.
The Programme financially supports joint development activities for the improvement of the region’s competitiveness by utilising its potential and beneficial location on the cross roads between the EU and Russian Federation.
The Programme has three priorities:
1. Socio-economic development,
2. Common challenges,
3. Promotion of people to people cooperation.
The Programme covers following areas:
Estonia: Kirde-Eesti, Lõuna-Eesti, Kesk-Eesti; adjoining area: Põhja-Eesti,
Latvia: Latgale, Vidzeme; adjoining areas: Riga City and Pieriga,
Russia: Leningrad region, Pskov region, St.-Petersburg City.
Eligible partners for the projects are national, regional and local public authorities; associations; public equivalent bodies; NGOs; educational organisations, small and medium enterprises (under the Priority 1). Each project shall involve at least one partner located in the Programme area in Russian Federation, and at least one partner located in the Programme area in Estonia or/and Latvia.
Available budget for the projects of 2nd Call of Proposals is around 6 million EUR.
In order to apply for the grant, applicants first have to fill in the Concept Note. The deadline for submission of the Concept Note is 27 February 2012.
