On 28 November 2014 cornerstone ceremony of pedestrian terminal of Narva 1st border crossing point (BCP) took place in Narva, Estonia in presence of high officials and numerous media representatives. The report of Estonian TV can be viewed HERE. Narva border crossing point is one of the biggest road connections between European Union and Russian Federation. As a result of development works the throughput of Estonia-Russia border crossing point in Narva will increase two times. New modern complex will be approximately three times bigger compared with the old one. Construction works are expected to be completed in summer 2015. Read more

2 December 2014 New tourism sites created in Estonia and Russia New tourism sites created in Estonia and Russia

Achievements and results of three ended tourism projects are analysed and compiled. Cross border cooperation between Estonian and Russian partners in implementation of tourism projects „River Promenades – II” and „Exploring the history of narrow gauge railway” resulted in creating of new sites. New promenades on both sides of the Narva river in Narva (Estonia) and Ivangorod (Russia) are built and opened for visitors. New tourism site is expected to be created also in Türi, Estonia, where the Narrow Gauge Railway Musseum is goin to be installed. Camping tourism through Latvia, Estonia and Russia has been promoted within tourism project „Enjoy the best in Latvia, Estonia and Russia!”, where two new routes – relaxation for families with children and enjoying national cuisines were created and popularised. On 26 November, 2014 the Final Conference “Cooperation for Quality Education for Children at Social Risk” took place in White Hall of History Museum of University of Tartu and gathered all partners of trilateral CBC project “EDU no borders” as well as many other participants interested in actual educational issues. Вместе с торжествами по случаю Дня Европейского сотрудничества в сентябре 2014 в городах Сангасте (Южная Эстония), Дедовичи (Псковская область, Россия) и Балви (Латгальский регион, Латвия), и с заключительной встречей проекта в конце октября 2014 года, трехсторонний проект приграничного сотрудничества «Сберечь, чтобы не утратить - сохранение культурного наследия» (‘Preserve not to lose’) был завершен. Тем не менее, работа в 19 реконструированных помещениях основных бенефициаров заметно выросла, из-за ярко выраженного огромного интереса посетителей. Для обеспечения устойчивости результатов проекта “Preserve not to lose” между волостью Сангасте Эстонской Республики, администрацией Дедовичского района Псковской области Российской Федерации и муниципалитетом Балви Латвийской Республики 27 сентября 2013 года было подписано Соглашение о сотрудничестве в области экономики, торговли, культуры и социальной политики. With September celebrations of the European Cooperation Day 2014 in Sangaste (South Estonia), Dedovichi (Pskov Region, Russia) and Balvi (Latgale Region, Latvia) and with the final staff meeting at the end of October 2014 the trilateral CBC project “To preserve not to lose it - safeguarding of cultural heritage” (Preserve not to lose) has been concluded. Nevertheless the work in 19 reconstructed premises is just increasing due to expressed high interest of visitors. To ensure sustainability of the project results Cooperation Agreement between Sangaste Rural Municipality of the Republic of Estonia, Dedovichi District Administration of Pskov Region of the Russian Federation and Balvi Municipality of the Republic of Latvia on cooperation in the spheres of economics, trade, culture and social policy was signed. 19 ноября 2014 г проект «Сеть обучения технического персонала в области логистики и наземного транспорта» (‘LogOnTrain’) провел свою Заключительную конференцию в Санкт-Петербурге в Петербургском государственном университете путей сообщения. Партнеры проекта и заинтересованные стороны собрались на Конференции и были проинформированы об общих результатах проекта и мероприятий, об опыте и достижениях каждой организации-партнера, и обсудили перспективы дальнейшего сотрудничества. 21-22 ноября 2014 Конференция и первая Приграничная торговая ярмарка студенческих фирм прошла в Вярска (Värska), Эстония, и привлекла большое количество студентов и посетителей из Эстонии, Латвии и России. Более ста увлеченных студентов и 22 студенческих компании из Сетомаа, муниципалитета Апе и Печорского района, собрались в Культурном центре Вярска, чтобы продать свою продукцию, получить новые идеи и опыт, установить контакты с молодежью из соседних стран, а также участвовать в дружеском соревновании.
