The project «Supporting the local self-government development to improve the quality of life in rural areas» (LSG Development) was implemented in order to raise the life standards in Shugozero municipality in Russia and Gulbene municipality in Latvia.
The Project set up an example of increasing capacity and involvement of rural communities into regional development and established sustainable cooperation between bordering regions of Latvia and Russia.

50 project portfolios have been translated into Russian language and now are published on Programme website. All 50 Programme supported projects involve partners from the Russian Federation, making a total of 95 partners and representing public authorities and equivalent bodies, associations formed by public bodies and non-governmental organizations. In Estonian and Latvian languages are translated project portfolios, where partners from Estonia or/and Latvia in the project are involved. Read more
Among 73 photos that are put for new voting round for "special audience prize" 6 photos are from ESTLATRUS projects. EstRusFortTour-2, Green Heritage and E-archive were sucessful to deliver their photos for the "Put your project in the picture" photo competition announced by ENPI Info Centre. 1st Facebook album of 10 best photos collected 4201 votes and was shared 644 times on Facebook. On 27 June 2014 the final conference of the project „Development of the centres for culture and creative industries in Räpina, Vilaka and Pechory“ (PROMOTING HERITAGE) took place in Pechory. During the conference partners reported about the results of the project in Estonia, Latvia and Russia. Read more
During two years of scientific cooperation between project partners, namely Riga Technical University (Latvia) and St. Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russia) scientific research resulted in the development and approbation of an integrated platform for monitoring natural-technological systems (NTS) based on processing and analysis of heterogeneous data received from space and ground-based facilities. In order to promote quality professional education and cross-border cooperation of Latvia and Russia, Malnava College (Latvia), Pskov Agrotechnical College (Russia) and society “Academic Park” (Latvia) with joint educational offer and joint stand participated in 6 exhibitions in Latvia, Russia and Belarus - Rezekne, Daugavpils, Riga, Pskov, Vilani and Vitebsk. Spring and summer of 2014 was quite a marathon of exhibitions for the Project "Improvement of higher vocational education in the field of transport and logistics" (T & L). Read more
On 17 July in St.Petersburg, Russian auditors of Russian partner organisations in 6 projects took part in consultations and round table discussions to exchange information and best practice about important issues that concern final reporting and eligibility of costs. This event was the final one in the series of similar consultations for the auditors of Estonian and Latvian project partners that were held earlier this month.
Staff of JTS from Riga office and Branch office in St.Petersburg presented information about provisions of Annex XII of the Grant Contract, legal framework, visibility requirements, evidences of achieved outputs and results as well as available assistance from the JTS and others involved parties.

The Project “Cross Border E-archive” (E-ARCHIVE) has introduced the final issue of their Project Newsletter. At the very end of two years challenging journey and before crossing the project finish line project partners look at what they have achieved from February to June 2014.
"It was a very active and productive time that allowed us to launch the online platform – a new virtual archive, where users at all levels and geographic locations are able to make connections between their personal lives, histories and their shared cultural heritage" - says Indra Auzane, Project manager.

Four videos are submitted by ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme and two of them by projects - LSG development and EstRusFortTour-2. Programme Video is reflecting the role of partnership in ENPI projects and brings forward the spheres of life, where the financial support is directed to. On 16 July more than 140 videos highlighting the results and benefits of cooperation in Europe were published on European Cooperation Day site www.ecday.eu. Voting is open until 15 August. Read more
