11 February 2014 ENPI Communication Managers met in Tallinn, Estonia ENPI Communication Managers met in Tallinn, Estonia

On 4 and 5 February 2014, network of Communication Managers representing 10 ENPI CBC Programmes met in its 5th meeting in the capital of Estonia to discuss challenges for the year 2014. As a base for discussions communication study was presented by Ms Aisling Walsh, Liaison Manager, INTERACT ENPI. Highlighting programme achievements and marketing the results of projects, as well communicating about new programming period - these were main issues covered in several workshops. Valuable input on drafting a communication strategy was provided by Mr Kosta Pavlowitch and Ms. Francesca Predazzi from ENPI INFO Centre, as well by Mr Anthony Lockett from DG REGIO. Read more

10 February 2014 Increasing the visibility of the Programme and its supported Projects

20 new Project roll-up stands to support the Programme visibility have been produced in January 2014 and are distributed to the 2nd Call Projects during Programme events in February 2014. Characterising photos, overall objectives and financial allocations, as well links to the Project information in Internet are displayed in roll-up stands and serves as evidence of the idea of the Project. On 6 February 2014 the Final Conference of the Project “Integrated Intelligent Platform for Monitoring the Cross-Border Natural-Technological Systems” (INFROM), was held in Riga, Latvia. The conference was dedicated to presenting the results of project scientific and research activities. Read more

From 24 to 26 January Latgale planning region took part in the Iinternational tourism fair ADVENTUR 2014 in the capital of Lithuania Vilnius in the framework of the activities of the Programme’s supported project "Tour". Newly issued travel guide „Latgale unites!” and recreation places near lakes and water bodies were of highest interest for the people of the neighbouring country. Project "Tour" presented 19 new recreation places in Latgale created within project activities. Read more

28 January 2014 Thematic seminars significantly improve the quality of project implementation

Thematic seminars are the most acknowledged and useful events and form of support show answers by 104 respondents of the Communication Questionnaire, performed by the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme in the end of the year 2013. Project Managers, Financial Experts, Auditors, Communication experts of Beneficiaries and Partners of Projects supported within the Programme were gathered in 14 seminars in Estonia, Latvia and Russia during year 2013.  Joint Technical Secretariat organized 2-day seminars in each country and invited all partners of the Project to come together for networking and with an aim to strengthen partnerships. 24 January 2014 Closure of Projects and Demonstration of Achievements – planned Events of the Programme in 2014

In accordance with the Information and Visibility Plan of the Programme for the year 2014, which was approved by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme on 11 December 2013, several Events will be organized by the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme in Estonia, Latvia and Russia in the year 2014.  In the first half of the year 3 identical 2-day seminars related to the closure of Projects and Final Reporting will be organized in Estonia, Latvia and Russia. During the biggest Nordic tourism fair “Matka 2014” in Helsinki (Finland) from 16 to 19 January the unique tourism route Via Hansetica was opened. Bright colours and informative stand using modern tools – website www.viahanseatica.info and trip planner   travel.viahanseatica.info provided opportunity to introduce colourful tourism offer through three countries – Russia, Estonia and Latvia.  Finnish public was especially attracted by the trip planner of Via Hanseatica, as it is very good source of information for individual travellers, as well as for tour operators, enabling to prepare the high-quality travel plan Read more

20 January 2014 First mobile project of the Programme - website in responsive design

At the very end of the year 2013 Programme website together with several other improvements got its mobile version, applicable for the phones and tablets and connecting automatically if logged into the website. Straight from the phones and tablets anybody can access Programme and Project News, Events and Contacts in mobile friendly way. To be noted - on-line registration to the events has become mobile friendly too. Functionality of Project and Gallery sections has been increased substantially. Social media like Twitter has been integrated and easy to follow.
