25 projects approved by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme in June 2011 signed Grant Contracts for the total sum of the Programme co-financing of 24 067 718, 02 euro. The University of Tartu (Estonia) together with 2 partners from Estonia, 3 partners from Latvia and 3 partners from Russia will realize cross-border archaeological heritage preservation project „ARCHAEOLOGY, AUTHORITY & COMMUNITY: cooperation to protect archaeological heritage“ under the Priority 2 – Common challanges, Measure 2.2 – Preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage and support of local traditional skills. The Major of Sigulda District Council Mr Uģis Mitrevics has countersigned the Grant Contract for the Project “Establishment of Environment in Võru (EE), Sigulda (LV), St.Petersburg (RU) for development of tourism” for 1 530 000, 00 euro of the Programme co-financing.

Project “Increasing traffic system’s capability within EE-LV-RU international importance transport corridors” has been accepted under the Priority 1 of the Programme, 1.2 Measure – Transport, logistics and commuication solutions and involves 14 partners - the second highest amount of partners among accepted projects within the 1st Call. Total budget of the Project is 1 876 570,00 euro. Read more

By the set deadline of 27 February 2012 332 Concept Notes have been submitted to the Joint Technical Secretariat and its Branch Offices within the 2nd Restricted Call for Proposals of the Programme. Paper versions of the Concept Notes sent by mail were received until 27 March 2012. Read more
Estonian Football Association (Estonia) together with FC Narva Trans (Estonia) and Administration of Pechory District, Children’s Sport School (Russia) will realize cross-border sports project „Cross countries through football” under the Priority 3 – Promotion of People to People cooperation, Measure 3.2 - Cooperation in spheres of culture, sport, education, social and health care. Total budget of the project is 332 602,50 euro. Read more
By the set deadline 2 March 2012 five Full Application Forms have been submitted in the Joint Technical Secretariat’s Main Office in Riga and Branch Offices in Jõhvi, Tartu and Pskov. Verification of Applications was started immediately and 2 Applications have been sent to the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme (JMC) for approval. Read more
The 5th Meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee will be held on 4-5 April in Pskov, Russia. During the meeting the status of the Programme implementation will be reviewed, particularly in relation to the Large Scale Projects as well as the 1st and 2nd Call for Proposals of the Programme, and decisions necessary for further ensuring effectiveness and quality of the Programme will be made.
