Digital access to historical collections and greener territories – four projects in Estonia, Latvia and Russia overcome common challenges

Four projects funded under Priority II – Common Challenges present its outputs and results aiming to protect environment and natural resources and preserve cultural and historical heritage. Projects “Emajõe-Pskov WMP”, “GreenMan”, “E-archive”, “Promoting Heritage” achieved and presents remarkable results.


Several water and waste water treatment plants around the Lake Peipsi are constructed and 4 large scale urban green areas in Tartu, Rēzekne and Pskov are created thus improving environmental conditions in border areas of Estonia, Latvia and Russia.


Virtual archive as an online digital platform has been developed and valuable genealogical information is made accessible. 3 historical buildings are restored and new Cultural centres are opened in Räpina, Pechory and Viļaka.
