Estonia-Latvia-Russia projects impressed the Ambassador of the EU delegation to Russian Federation, Vygaudas Ušackas, during his visit to Pskov
Beneficiary and Project manager Olga Vasilenko together with Pskov partners presented their project “Green Management for Urban Development & Planning in Estonia-Latvia-Russia Border Capitals” (GREEN MAN) in Dendropark which was recently restored on the area of 5 ga in the centre of the city.

Mr Vygaudas Ušackas was told about activities implemented within the trilateral project in border capitals: the Friendship Alley in the center of Tartu; eco-friendly Children’s recreation Area in Raina Park in Rezekne City, the Ancupani Forest Park Cover in Rezekne Local Municipality. Some pictures were shown demonstrating previous conditions of the recreation areas and results after project finalization.


Next project “Fostering of Socio-Economic Development and Encouraging Business in Border Areas (FOSTER SME) presented one of its results in Pskov region – Business Exhibition Centre (500m2) which was installed in the city centre to provide opportunities for border regions entrepreneurs in advertising their company, products and services thus ensuring new opportunities for development and new business contacts.
The Ambassador of the EU delegation to Russian Federation visited another two projects in Pskov region which were implemented within measure 2.1.: “Water management Project of Peipsi, Pihkva, Lämmijärve, Saadjärve and Veskijärve Lakes” (Emajõe-Pskov WMP) and large scale project “Economically and Environmentally Sustainable Lake Peipsi area” (Common Peipsi).

Project manager from Municipal enterprise of Pskov city “Gorvodokanal” Andrey Alyabjev has demonstrated 5 waste water treatment plants which were renovated within these two projects thus improving the wastewater treatment system of the Lake Peipsi basin. Mr Ušackas has interested about possible projects in future in this sphere. Project manager has shared information about planned projects with Estonian partners in future programmes.
