Impressive Project Start

On 29 August 2013 the Opening ceremony of Expo-center “Business without borders” took place in Pskov (Russia), followed by two days exhibition “Tourism in Border Countries”. This event was organized by the Project “FOSTER SME” supported by Estonia-Latvia-Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme within European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument 2007-2013. Pskov Partner of the Project, ANO "Fund of Guarantee and enterprise development of Pskov region", was supported in this event by the State Committee on economic development, industry and trade of Pskov region.

     
 

Participants of the event were greeted and congratulated by the representatives of Pskov Region Administration, Pskov Duma, Pskov City Administration, Consuls of Latvia and Estonia, the Head of the JTS of the Programme.

The opening of the Expo-center gives the opportunity to promote the goods and services offered by Pskov SMEs, as well as foster the activities of entrepreneurs involved in cross-border business communication. It was proved by the first day of the exhibition which welcomed representatives of touristic businesses, cafes and restaurants, producers of souveniers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belorussia as well as from all over Pskov Region.

The overall objective of the Project “FOSTER SME”– initiator of the event is to foster economic and social integration in Latvia, Estonia and Russia border areas through intense cooperation of local and regional authorities of Vidzeme region, Vōru county and Pskov region for development of local SMEs opportunities and encouraging of the entrepreneurship.
