Summary: There is decrease of inhabitants in the project region nowadays because many young people choose to leave their native towns and go to bigger cities where they can find better life conditions - possibilities to study, work and spend their free time. That is why it is necessary to search for the possibilities to keep these people in the region. One of the ways is to promote opportunities to be involved in different activities, increase the education level and develop interesting and various free time occupations. Overall objective of the Project is promotion of attractiveness of Latvia and Russia for inhabitants and businesses. Specific objective - establishment of cooperation in music and theatre arts development between Limbazi, Salacgriva and Volhov thereby promoting development of culture sphere in the region and quality of life for inhabitants. Project partners are Limbazi Municipality, Salacgriva municipality council, Administration of the Volhovsky municipal area of Leningrad region. Direct target group - 90 representatives of theatre collectives of Limbazi, Salacgriva and Volhov, that will be involved in creative workshops, festival and performances, 20 representatives of orchestras and 10 music school an secondary schools pupils that will be involved in master classes, lections and concerts. 5 daily centres visitors that will be involved in theatre activities. In total 125 persons will be involved directly in cross border cooperation. Final beneficiaries of the project are 16 culture collectives and 3 municipalities that will be involved in cross border cooperation. Cross border cooperation will ensure added value to the activities - experience exchange, richer culture programme because of different cultures and mentalities of the Latvia and Russia.
